This class will educate the LMT on the latest and most current information of how to safely and skillfully massage someone with certain medical conditions. Debunking massage myths, including those for pregnancy and certain diseases and disorders, as well as requiring a doctor’s permission, will be discussed. Other info includes improved intake and documentation form for individuals who are medically frail, current resources for massage therapists, the importance of being honest, and the need to back up claims with research.
